ADGA Judges Training Conferences provide the education and testing required to become or remain an ADGA-licensed dairy goat judge.
Fewer than 150 individuals in the United States and Canada are currently licensed to judge ADGA-sanctioned shows.
Pre-Judges Training Conference
Individuals beginning the process of becoming an ADGA-licensed judge must first attend a Pre-Judges Training Conference.
This introductory conference helps participants develop the foundational knowledge and skills needed before advancing to a Judges Training Conference.
Judges Training Conference
After completing the Pre-Judges Training Conference requirements, applicants may attend a Judges Training Conference and complete the required proficiency testing.
Applicants must pass a series of four basic tests before qualifying for an ADGA judging license.
Licensed judges may also be required to attend training conferences to maintain or advance their licenses.
Where Can I Find Upcoming Conferences?
ADGA has traditionally offered two Judges Training Conferences each year:
- A spring or summer conference called the “Special TC”
- A fall conference held in conjunction with the ADGA Annual Convention
